Lovely idea for a watercolor version
We played spot the difference. Obviously the overall consistency, which work so well in WC, but then the extra bubbles, the wave tips, the extra faces. Cool.

Very interesting… Made a conscious decision to keep the painting close to the original, as was block print… Then present in loose edgy style… and… as you discovered… there are many “spot-the-differences” in amongst… 🙂

the wash of the watery scene suits this watercolour version
We have a small original style wall picture of this and are in love with it. When we saw this, it was the revelation that another version type (water colour) could have such an amazing effect. Plus the paper influence is perfect thinking x

Delightful
The watercolour effect is lovely in itself, but the paper influence (thick fibre/reedy) causes the eyes to just look all around and not just at it. No1 fan.

OMG Extraordinary texture and edging style. Even though its a flat screen!
Had no idea what to expect. Never done it before. Chucked file on a usb to TV and POW. From the moment it showed the response from all was to see from normal, then get drawn in to enjoy the texture and the edging of this watercolour version. 11 out of 10. Am already on waiting list for following creations. Get a move on!

The paper selected was Japanese native plant based. The water and pigments run into the ‘valleys’. The edges form when the paint drys collectively at the edge of the last area stoke. Thanks for feedback.
